The GDPR is an EU regulation designed to enhance privacy and give individuals more control over their personal data. GDPR guidelines state that everyone has a right to transparency regarding how their personal information is used and stored. In working with me, you are consenting for your information to be stored and used in the manner described below.
Personal data and notes
All electronic personal data and notes held are password-encrypted, and paper notes are anonymised and stored in a locked cabinet. Data held includes your completed contact details form, consent form, this contract, clinical notes, and any letters/reports sent. For adults, clinical notes/reports are kept for three years beyond the end of therapy. In the case of a child or young person, clinical notes/reports will be kept until three years beyond their 18th birthday. Paper notes are disposed of by shredding.
